Efficiency Nova Scotia provides funding to have a consultant conduct a Custom Feasibility Study for many different situations. Facilities must have an annual consumption of 350,000 kWh or greater. Once the study is complete, the consultant will receive 50% of the consulting funds of the study. If the client proceeds with the recommendations of the study, the consultant will receive the second 50% of the consulting fees, and the client will receive a rebate from Efficiency NS to offset the capital costs of the recommendations, generally about $0.10 per kWh saved. Whether the client proceeds with the recommendations or not, funding for the study is paid for from Efficiency NS.
